BugsQA checked the QA pages of 18 nearshore QA testing companies in Latin America and found that only 7 publish a price, and none of the 7 dedicated-team firms does. The median company that publishes a timeline needs about two and a half weeks to get started. Our conclusion: the best nearshore QA testing companies for you depend first on the model you want, managed QA or a hired engineer, and only then on the name.

Searching for the best nearshore QA testing companies returns lists that mix Latin American vendors with offshore firms in India and Eastern Europe, usually ranked by the company that wrote the list. Few show prices, start times or guarantees side by side, which are the facts a buyer needs to shortlist.

So we built the comparison ourselves. On 31 October 2026, BugsQA read the QA page of every Latin American QA provider named in the top search results and recorded only what each company publishes: type of service, delivery countries, price, time to start, guarantee and security standards. BugsQA is one of the 18 companies, and we say so wherever it appears. Our own offer is on the nearshore QA services page.

This post gives five findings, the 18 companies grouped by type, how to choose between them, our method and the full dataset, free to download.

Five findings about nearshore QA testing companies in 2026

The five findings below compare 18 nearshore QA companies on published prices, time to start, guarantees, security standards and delivery countries. We sorted them into three types: managed QA firms that run the testing for you (4), dedicated-team firms that staff a team you direct (7), and talent platforms that help you hire an engineer (7).

Finding 1: Only 7 of 18 nearshore QA companies publish a price

Seven of the 18 companies show a QA price on their page, and five of those seven are talent platforms. Among the 11 managed QA and dedicated-team firms, only QASource and BugsQA publish one. All 7 dedicated-team firms ask you to book a call for a quote.

Source: each company's own QA page, checked by BugsQA on 31 October 2026. QA firms = managed QA and dedicated-team firms.

Why it happens. Talent platforms sell a salary plus a fee, which is easy to publish, while nearshore QA outsourcing companies that staff a team price each project separately. Those firms weigh size, seniority and length, and many prefer to quote after a call.

The caveat. A missing price doesn’t mean a high price. Firms that quote per project can come in below a platform’s published rate for a short engagement.

What it means for you: ask every vendor on your shortlist for a written price for the same scope, such as one dedicated engineer for three months, so you compare like with like.

Finding 2: Published prices start at $2,200 a month per engineer

Published monthly prices for one QA engineer start at $2,200 with Nearshore Business Solutions and reach over $9,500 for a lead engineer through Revelo. Tecla lists $4,000 to $7,200 a month by seniority, or $25 to $50 an hour.

Published monthly price for one full-time QA engineer, low end of each range

  • Nearshore Business Solutions$2,200
  • Rose Talent Solutions$2,500
  • Hire With Near (candidate pay)$2,500
  • QASource (team price per engineer)$3,125
  • Tecla$4,000
  • Revelo$4,500
  • BugsQA (managed QA, full-time)$5,900
Source: each company's own QA page, 31 October 2026. QASource: $150,000 a year for a 4-engineer team, divided by BugsQA. BugsQA's part-time plans start at $1,700 for 40 hours a month.
Company Type Published QA price
Nearshore Business Solutions Talent platform $2,200 to $4,500 per month
Rose Talent Solutions Talent platform $2,500 per month flat
Hire With Near Talent platform Candidate pay $2,500 to $5,500 per month, fee on request
QASource Managed QA firm $150,000 to $200,000 a year for a team of 3 to 4
Tecla Talent platform $4,000 to $7,200 per month, $25 to $50 per hour
BugsQA Managed QA firm $1,700 (40 h) to $5,900 (full-time) per month, from $1,500 per release, $450 launch check, $45 to $55 per hour
Revelo Talent platform From about $4,500 (junior) to over $9,500 (lead) per month

Why it happens. Talent platform prices follow Latin American salaries plus a fee. Managed QA prices include the test plan, reports and management, which a placed engineer doesn’t bring.

The caveat. These prices don’t buy the same thing. A talent platform’s price buys an engineer you manage yourself; a managed QA firm’s price buys testing results. Hire With Near’s range is the engineer’s pay, before its fee.

What it means for you: if you already have a QA lead who can manage an engineer, a talent platform costs less. If nobody on your team owns testing, compare managed QA prices instead.

Finding 3: The median company needs about two and a half weeks to get started

Thirteen of the 18 companies publish how fast they start, and the median is 17.5 days. Tecla and Rose Talent Solutions promise 7 days; Amalga Group and First Factory quote 3 to 5 and 2 to 6 weeks.

Published time to get started, midpoint in calendar days

  • BugsQA (start testing)2-3 business days
  • Tecla7 days
  • Rose Talent Solutions7 days
  • Revelo14 days average
  • FusionHitunder 2 weeks
  • Devlane2-3 weeks
  • Nearshore Business Solutions14-21 days
  • BairesDev2-4 weeks
  • South21 days or less
  • Hire With Near22 days
  • Unosquare5-10 business days + 2 weeks
  • Amalga Group3-5 weeks
  • First Factory2-6 weeks
Source: each company's own QA page, 31 October 2026. 13 of 18 companies publish a timeline.

Why it happens. Talent platforms and dedicated-team firms recruit or match an engineer for each client, which takes weeks. A managed QA firm assigns an engineer who already works for it.

The caveat. Companies measure different things: time to a shortlist, time to hire, or time to onboard. Only BugsQA’s figure measures time to start testing, and it’s our own claim.

What it means for you: if you have a release in the next two weeks, ask each vendor when testing starts, not when a candidate arrives.

Finding 4: Talent platforms offer guarantees, QA firms name security standards

Five of the 7 talent platforms publish a guarantee, mostly a free replacement, from Revelo’s 14-day risk-free trial to Hire With Near’s 180-day replacement. Only 2 of the 11 QA firms do: First Factory (30 days risk-free) and BugsQA (the first two weeks of Ongoing QA). The pattern flips for security: 7 of the 11 QA firms name ISO 27001, SOC 2 or TMMi, and no talent platform does.

Guarantees and security standards by company type

  • Talent platforms (7)
    5 offer a guarantee0 name a standard
  • Dedicated-team firms (7)
    1 offers a guarantee5 name a standard
  • Managed QA firms (4)
    1 offers a guarantee2 name a standard

Publish a guaranteeName ISO 27001, SOC 2 or TMMi

Source: each company's own QA page, checked by BugsQA on 31 October 2026.

Why it happens. A talent platform’s main risk is a bad hire, so it guarantees the hire. A QA firm handles your code and data on its own systems, so buyers ask for its security certificates.

The caveat. A named standard on a page is not proof. Amalga Group says SOC 2 is in progress, and Unosquare says its facilities are SOC 2 compliant, so ask for the certificate or report itself.

What it means for you: if your product handles payments or health data, ask for the ISO 27001 certificate or SOC 2 report before you share access. If you hire through a platform, check how long the replacement guarantee lasts.

Finding 5: Mexico and Colombia are the most named delivery countries

Mexico is named on 9 of the 18 QA pages and Colombia on 8, followed by Brazil (6), Argentina (5) and Costa Rica (4). Five companies don’t name any delivery country on their QA page.

Delivery countries named on 18 nearshore QA company pages

  • Peru3
  • Chile2
  • Uruguay2
  • No country named5
Source: each company's own QA page, 31 October 2026. A company can name several countries. Bolivia and Ecuador: 1 each.

Why it happens. Latin America QA testing companies cluster in Mexico and Colombia because both have large engineering talent pools and time zones close to US Central and Eastern time, which is the core of the nearshore pitch.

The caveat. A country named on a page isn’t always where your engineer will sit. Talent platforms list every country they hire from, and firms may list offices rather than delivery teams.

What it means for you: ask each vendor which country your engineer will work from and which hours they will keep, then check the overlap with your team’s day.

The 18 nearshore QA testing companies, grouped by type

We grouped the 18 nearshore software testing companies by how they work, because a managed QA firm, a dedicated-team firm and a talent platform solve different problems. Within each group, companies are listed alphabetically, with what each publishes on its own QA page.

Managed QA firms: they run the testing for you

Abstracta names Uruguay, Chile, Colombia and Brazil on its site and focuses on AI-assisted development and testing. It publishes no price or start time on its homepage. Fits teams that want a testing partner with delivery across South America.

BugsQA (the publisher of this guide) is a managed QA team in Colombia. It publishes $1,700 a month for 40 hours up to $5,900 for a full-time engineer, from $1,500 per release, a $450 launch check and $45 to $55 per hour, starts testing in 2 to 3 business days and makes the first two weeks of Ongoing QA risk-free. Fits startups and product teams that need web and mobile app testing without managing a tester.

QASource runs dedicated QA teams and managed quality engineering from Mexico and India. It publishes $150,000 to $200,000 a year for a team of three to four engineers, a 45-day exit notice, client ownership of the tests, and ISO 27001 and ISO 9001. Fits mid-size companies that want a full QA team.

Softtek (Nearshore) says it runs the largest and most mature QA practice in Latin America and holds TMMi Level 5. It publishes no price or start time. Fits enterprises that need scale and process maturity.

Dedicated-team firms: they staff a team you direct

Nearshore Business Solutions places QA engineers from Colombia, Mexico and Brazil in 14 to 21 days at $2,200 to $4,500 a month, with a 90-day placement guarantee. Fits teams that want the lowest published monthly price.

Revelo hires from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, averages 14 days to hire, and publishes from about $4,500 a month for juniors to over $9,500 for leads, with a 14-day risk-free trial. Fits companies hiring senior or lead QA engineers.

Rose Talent Solutions places QA engineers from Argentina, Colombia, Mexico and Peru at a flat $2,500 a month, typically in 7 days, with a free replacement. Fits small teams that want a simple flat price.

How do you choose a nearshore QA company?

You choose a nearshore QA company by deciding first whether you want testing results or an engineer to manage, then comparing price, start date, guarantee and security on the same written scope. The model decides more than the brand.

  • Results or an engineer: if nobody on your team owns testing, pick a managed QA firm; if you have a QA lead, a talent platform or dedicated-team firm costs less.
  • A written price for the same scope: one engineer for three months, or one release, from every vendor on your shortlist.
  • When testing starts: not when a candidate arrives.
  • The guarantee in the contract: what happens if the engineer or the testing doesn’t work out.
  • Who owns the tests: test cases, reports and automation code should stay with you if you leave.

Why do teams pick BugsQA for nearshore QA testing?

Teams pick BugsQA when they want testing results from a dedicated engineer without managing a tester, at a published price. BugsQA is a managed QA team in Colombia that tests web and mobile apps inside your sprints.

  • Published prices: from $1,700 a month for 40 hours to $5,900 for a full-time engineer, from $1,500 per Release QA project, a $450 launch check, $45 to $55 per hour.
  • Fast start: 2 to 3 business days from signed agreement to testing your first build.
  • Risk-free start: the first two weeks of Ongoing QA are risk-free; if you’re not happy, you don’t pay for them.
  • Your tests stay yours: test plans, test cases, bug reports and automated tests live in your tools from the first day.

Frequently asked questions

Which company is best for nearshore QA testing?

The best nearshore QA testing company depends on the model you need: a managed QA firm such as BugsQA, QASource or Softtek if you want testing results, a dedicated-team firm such as Amalga Group or BairesDev if you want a team you direct, or a talent platform such as Revelo or Nearshore Business Solutions if you want to hire an engineer yourself.

How much do nearshore QA testing companies charge?

Nearshore QA testing companies that publish prices charge from $2,200 to over $9,500 a month per QA engineer, or $25 to $50 an hour. Managed QA plans cost more than a placed engineer because they include the test plan, reports and management, for example $5,900 a month for a full-time engineer at BugsQA, or $1,700 for 40 hours.

Which Latin American countries have the most QA testing companies?

Mexico and Colombia are the most common delivery countries among Latin American QA testing companies: in our check, 9 of 18 company pages named Mexico and 8 named Colombia, followed by Brazil, Argentina and Costa Rica.

What does nearshore staffing mean?

Nearshore staffing means hiring engineers who work from a nearby country in a similar time zone, usually through a company that recruits, pays and manages the paperwork for them. For US teams, nearshore staffing usually means engineers in Mexico, Central America or South America.
